Dr. Marwa Ahmed Saleh /Assistant Professor

Dr. Marwa Ahmed Saleh graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University in Egypt, where she obtained a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science with Honors, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry successively. She has 12 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical education and healthcare sector, as well as 7 years of teaching and research experience after her PhD. She currently works as Assistant Professor of pharmaceutical organic chemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy, Al Azhar University. Her research focuses on pharmaceutical organic chemistry, centering on the design, synthesis, characterization and biological evaluation of heterocyclic compounds such as quinoxaline derivatives and pyridine-amide based compounds. She devotes herself to the research and development of new drugs for antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anticancer and other therapeutic directions, and also carries out research on computer-aided drug design including molecular docking and virtual screening, as well as nano drug delivery systems. She has achieved remarkable academic accomplishments with an Scopus H-index of 8, publishing numerous high-quality papers in international journals such as Journal of Molecular Structure, Bioorganic Chemistry and RSC Advances. She has led and participated in a number of research projects including those funded by the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) of Egypt and the Egypt Innovation Program, and has collaborated with the Central Laboratory of King Saud University in Saudi Arabia on pharmaceutical manufacturing and drug development since 2025. She was awarded the Fourth Prize for Scientific Writing by the Saudi Chemical Society, and has participated in more than 50 scientific workshops and seminars in various fields. With extensive experience as a university educator and a hospital pharmacist, she is a member of the Egyptian Association of Arab Pharmacists and also serves as a reviewer for scientific journals. She possesses solid professional capabilities in organic synthesis, laboratory operations, scientific writing and drug research and development, along with rich experience in teaching, research project management and academic exchanges.
